The Disney film bursts into life on stage, thanks to an array of kaleidoscopic costumes and over 200 puppets collectively bringing the animal kingdom to life. The film's everlasting magic continues to the musical, and London Theatre praised director Julie Taymor’s concepts as “some of the most innovative, impressive and breath-taking to ever be seen on stage.”

All the popular Lion King songs remain too, including Elton John’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” and “I Just Can’t Wait to be King.” Add in Richard Hudson and Donald Holder’s evocative designs, including a starry display of Mufasa in the night sky, and the end result is a timeless musical that continues to enchant audiences of all ages.

Set in the Serengeti plains, the adventurous musical follows Simba’s roaring journey from lion cub to ruler. While making friends on his adventures, Simba must avoid his evil uncle Scar, and do all it takes to ascend to the throne.
